The European Union Intellectual Office along with the European Commission have worked together to offer the 2024 edition of the Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund.
The goal of this initiative is to help economically small and medium-sized companies based in Europe. Last year, this initiative received more than 35000 applications. The mentioned initiative consists in offering the applicants a partial reimbursement to cover fees related to Intellectual property.
SME Fund 2024 has increased the coverage by including legal costs related to the draft and filing of European Patent applications, up to 50% or Euro 2000.- in some cases. The budget for SME Fund 2024 is Euro 18.85 million.
